Remix Ideas
I'm not the greatest at producing, but I have a strong desire to put similar songs on top of each other. I've been pirating Ableton Live on and off for years... So not everything has executed and archived with the highest of quality. Though, I have been thinking about purchasing Ableton and truly learning more about production either in the near future or when I graduate animation school~!

Zhou Shen, 梁龙(算你狠 - Live) × Doechii(DENIAL IS A RIVER)
- Sooooooooooooo so perfect. I was listening to my live playlist and I thought DENIAL IS A RIVER would be so amaze :-) I like that they both have this silly energy to them~! I need to make this better for my oomf's mom who loves Zhou Shen.
Imogen Heap(Headlock) × 單依純(有趣)- Both the intrumentals and vocals are sooooooo spiritually similar it's just great to hear them together (and I've actually been meaning to do it for a while~)! Though I definetly need to work on it x-D
Stanley Huang(我是你的誰) × Millionaires(I Like Money)- I really appreciate it when guys try to act sexy, because you don't really see that as much and I like sexy songs (plus, its just so hilarious). The lyrics of these songs match up in such an incredible way actually. They're like two perspectives of the same story... Anyhow, I was really interested in mixing 我是你的誰 with Millionaires because the breathing in this sounds SO MUCH like the beginning of Hey Rich Boy! But I Like Money matches a lot more melodically so that's what I went with :-)
Yseult, JT(Freak) × Wonder Girls(Irony) × Missy Elliott(Get Ur Freak On)- Just for funnnnnnn~! Love the way Irony sounds over this x-p And Get Ur Freak On for obvious reasons...
Tokischa(MIAMI) × e.via, Tequila Addicted, UMC(과연 그럴까?)- Similar beat and intense vibes, but it would take a much more talented person to mix this since they're both rapping very quickly!
2PM(Back 2U) × BY2(早安男孩)- This may be the greatest line up of all time. Come back come back~~~ And then it's like Okay 2PM is coming!!..... I love the way in which 早安男孩 changes key(?) of Back 2U. There's also this like dubstep part in 早安男孩 that goes sooooo well with a section of Back 2U and it's so cathartic and emotional to listen to, so I'm really excited for the day when I can finish it all :'-))
Jolin Tsai(大丈夫) × SUPER JUNIOR(Mr. Simple)- I can't even BEGIN to get into the LEVELS to this. So you're looking for a Real Man? Look, I'm Mr. Simple? I like to think this is also super ironic because I don't think Mr. Simple is the Real Man she's talking about x-p <-- guy who doesn't understand either language. But besides the amazing lyrics, they also go together really well sonically~~ It is so exciting to listen to (if you're into this sort of thing).
Wackelkontakt(Papamummy) × Maggie Chiang(少林傳奇)- This one is seriously a stroke of genius. I think I found out about Wackelkontakt through everynoise.com? And this is the only song by them I really like. But these two together are soooooo perfect. In general, it kind of reminds me of Charli XCX Vroom Vroom with the way the bass hits so simply. Plus, 少林傳奇 is one of my favouriteeesss x-D
黄龄(痒) × 黄龄(啊) U;nee(Solo Fantasy) × Rebecca Black(American Girl)- Both these songs have such an incredibly important bass/percussion that line up perfectlyyyyy~~~ Though I'm having a lot of trouble mixing them in a way that doesn't sound like a broken toaster so if I figure that out I will talk about it more...
Rihanna(Shut Up and Drive) × .clipping, Tia Nomore(Scams)- After I posted the previous one on my story, oomf suggested I add Shut Up and Drive by Rihanna and it was so epic it really deserved its own thing. Since Rihanna is more pop the overall sound is a lot cleaner and punchier (especially around the middle) which is yay x-D this is so summer vibes to mee~~
Denise Ho(楊子經書) × .clipping, Tia Nomore(Scams)-
Really just wanted to do something with Denise Ho because her songs are so haunting and incredible. Though I was having trouble finding a similar melody, so I chose a more experimental song x-) I loveeeeeee .clipping and this is very catchy to me.
JPEGMAFIA(ALL CAPS NO SPACES) × Chang Shilei(Endless Waves in Lake Honghu)- This is one of my favourite mixes of all time and it is like incredibly personal to me... Its sooooo awesome how the instrumentals go with each other. It makes ALL CAPS NO SPACES even more intense. And in general, I love Chang Shilei's production style. Both these artists are super unique in what they do~
Lil Tecca(Dark Thoughts) × QueenSeaBigShark(COMXXPUDA)- Just throwing things I like around for no reason. QueenSeaBigShark was actually a huge middle school band for me and I haven't listened to them in years, but COMXXPUDA was my favourite song by them :-) I think this only works because Dark Thoughts goes with everything but yay!
韓紅(小屁孩兒) × iLoveMemphis(Hit the Quan) × Radiohead(Creep)- My amazing masterpiece. Like what do I even say. 小屁孩兒 IS SUUUCHHHH A CRAZY SONG I can't even understand how or why it's like that and why it's the only song by this person and this producer, even, that is like that. It's just so good (specifically talking about the middle part). And so obviously I had to put it with Hit the Quan and then obviously I had to put that with Radiohead. Wanting to continue the Radiohead into a different song in the future because that would be so fire but we'll see.
5gjm999(而家想講野) × Maggie Fu(拖肥先生) × Jolin Tsai(看我72變) × 5gjm999(One Day I Woke Up) × Hikaru Utada(Devil Inside) × Gorillaz, Bashy, Kano, The National Orchestra for Arabic Music(White Flag) × SOPHIE(Faceshopping) × Britney Spears, Madonna(Me Against the Music)- My magnum opus in a way. Hopefully when I learn to mix better I can mix this better :-p But it was really fun chopping up White Flag and creating something new out of it. I just love all these tracks. And also, an important part of this mix is a special certain audio clip that~ I don't even know where to find the link to it anymore~ But in the future it will be added here~ (though I suppose for now it can be heard (though it's also missing the beginning part with some of the other songs)) here.
Linda Chung(Cha Cha Cha) × f(x)(LA chA TA)- I just love when there's the most perfect word play. La cha cha cha ta taaa cha cha cha~~~
Naiwen Yang(不要說出去 - Live) × Loathe(Is It Really You)- Incredibly seriously emotional... I actually forgot I made this until I was looking through my downloads folder and found the screenrecording. Sounds a lot like my first year of college :'-)
Hit-5(Running) × SHINee (The SHINee World (Doo-Bop)) × Gwen Steffank(Hollaback) × Justin Timberlake, Timbaland(SexyBack) × Hutcher(Crush)- This started with just Hit-5 and SHINee and then my roommate kept suggesting more songs to add! There was a period of time where I was dangerously obsessed with The SHINee World (Doo-Bop), so hearing another boy-group song sound similar almost drove me to madness... Like, what am I supposed to do with this information? Is anyone listening? Can anyone hear me? Help? If I were to return to this mix, I think I could do a lot with the arrangment of the tracks~
Hit-5(怕了你) × Ne-Yo(Because of You)- These are basically identical, I even saw a Youtube comment confirm that I was not alone in this thought! I think remixes are generally better when they take more structural creative liberities, although I found it very difficult to do that here since they are so perfect 0_0.
Yumiko Cheng(花多眼亂) × Panic! At The Disco(I Write Sins Not Tragedies)- Before college, I never really listened to or knew anything about Panic! At The Disco, and considering their controversies, maybe it should have stayed that way... Their songs from this album are so incredibly catchy though. And I think adding 花多眼亂 makes it even better :-)! The way the structures line up is super satisfying.
Naiwen Yang(星星堆滿天) × My Chemical Romance(I Don't Love You)- My two top songs from January of 2025~! I love both these songs like crazy, so it was really exciting to me to put them together... There is also this part where they have the exact same guitar solo melody!!!! It actually took me a bit of time to decide whether I wanted them to line up exactly or not, but I decided it would overall be better if I offset them c:
龙梅子, 王麟(大吉大利) × f(x)(Chu~♡)- I would certaintly say 大吉大利 is one of my most favourite songs of all time, and it is very satisftying how different sections of both tracks compliment each other as they go on! There is just so much hype that comes with this.
Maggie Fu(歌后) × Christina Agulera(Genie In A Bottle)- Another structerly perfect match, I don't know what else I can say!
Wham!(Last Christmas) × At17(Never Been Kissed)- Such similar sad sentimental holiday vibes~ It's crazy how close the melodies are!
Sandy Lam(愛笑了) × Eiko Shimamiya(Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)- Such cool and mysterious vibes~~ I love this one so so much! Both these songs have an incredibly special and important place in my heart and were in the background of some emotionally intense times in my life (first year of college, 5th grade). So combining them is especially cathartic to me. Not only do they carry this eerie haunting aura, but they are also beautifully arranged and sung. I love that they match up so well~~! I will probably say this for everything, but I hope to mix this properly some day.
Produce Pandas(Sui Sui Nian) × Soulja Boy(Hey You There)- I put this together in Audacity since I was between computers, and it worked really well considering the limitations~ So super funny!
